One summer long ago, a young girl and boy were brought together by a dog. The summer came to an end and they never saw each other again. Years later, Jessica, now in her thirties and recently widowed, decides to start over and move back home with her son. However, her plan goes awry when she discovers that her family home has been sold to a very handsome thirty-something man named Michael. While Jessica and Michael vie for ownership of her house, sparks begin to fly. Jessica thinks she's not ready for a man in her life. But with the help of her family, some luck and a very special dog, Jessica realizes the blessing in a plan gone wrong.
