16 of the best Mixed Martial Arts fighters eight Light Heavyweights and eight Middleweights have come from around the world to Las Vegas with one dream? to be named The Ultimate Fighter and be given a contract in the Ultimate Fighting Championship organization. During the competition UFC legends and bitter rivals Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock will coach the fighters. The men will endure a gruelling regimen of jui-jitsu judo muay thai karate boxing and wrestling. The intense competition between the fighters will continue after they leave the gym at the Ultimate Fighter House. These warriors will be forced to live with each other knowing that any day they could be forced to fight each other in the UFC Octagon. There will be two teams. In the first episode a coin toss will decide which team gets to choose the first fight. Once the opponents are chosen the fight is on. They will train weigh-in and face-off in three five-minute rounds. In each successive episode the winning team will be in control of choosing who fights next. When only two men remain in each weight class they will fight in the finals at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas to decide who is the Ultimate Fighter. The Ultimate Fighter 3 DVD set also includes fighter profiles behind-the-scenes footage and the best and worst of the Ultimate Fighter auditions.
