| A successful businessman (Josh Lucas) struggling to come to terms with a profound personal tragedy buys a battered sailboat and gives himself over to the process of restoring it and learning how to sail. At first, he keeps to himself, disturbed at night by unsettled dreams of his family. In time he strikes up friendships with an ageing sailor (James Cromwell) with emotional issues of his own, and the pretty waitress (Ayelet Zurer) at a local diner. The boat soon becomes a beacon of hope in his life as he begins the challenge of confronting his troubled past. |
